According to the latest financial statements published by the United States game giant Take-Two, its mobile operations had increased by 19 per cent as at 31 December 2025, or 49 per cent of the company ‘ s net booking for the quarter. CEO Strauss Zelnik, in a teleconference, expressed optimism about the company ‘ s direct consumer business (D2C) and noted that the net booking of Toon Blast, free of charge under the flag, had increased by 43 per cent and that its life-time net booking had now exceeded $3 billion.

In other areas of its mobile product portfolio, Match Factory grew by 17 per cent, Empires & Puzzles by 11 per cent and Words With Friends by 6 per cent. The “Color Block Jam” of Rollic was described as “a great success” and benefited from a higher average daily user advertising income, which was 10 per cent higher than last year. Take-Two also mentioned the 2K mobile game: WE SuperCard has had more than 38 million downloads for life; NBA 2K26 is “Apple Arcade’s top five game” and NBA 2K All Star has grown to nearly 9 million subscribers in China.

By platform, mobile operations accounted for 49 per cent of the net target of Take-Two, mainframe 40 per cent and “PC and others” 11 per cent. During the quarter to 31 December 2025, mobile operations income was $860.9 million, up from $709.5 million in the same period last year; mainframe income was $702.6 million and PC and other income was $193.6 million. Overall, the net target for Take-Two for the quarter was $1.76 billion, an increase of 28 per cent over the same period the previous year. The company currently expects a net projection for the 2026 fiscal year of between $6.65 billion and $6.7 billion. Mobile operations are expected to achieve a medium-digit growth. Strauss Zelnik expressed confidence in the conference that Take-Two was one of the few players that could successfully launch a new mobile game. “We are indeed building the explosive, which is still rather rare in the field of mobile operations”, he said, “The hardest thing in mobile operations is to create the new explosive. Zynga has demonstrated that he has the capacity to do so, that there are not many companies that can do so, and I believe that we are the only companies that can do so on a sustainable basis.”

Strauss Zelnik described the face-to-face consumer income as “significant” and the last quarter as the strongest in this category since it was recorded. He did not, however, recognize the specific share of mobile income generated by the D2C project. Turning to D2C, Strauss Zelnik said: “The regulatory environment has recently become more favourable, and I do believe that we will continue to see a proportional decline in third-party platforms and that this savings will be directly translated into profits.”The recent decline in stock prices due to Google Genee technologyAt that time, Strauss Zelnik’s attitude was quite distasteful. “Genie is at an early and iterative stage, trying to compare it with the engine of the game is that they are not even at one level. Genie is not a game engine. And he added, “In my opinion, it’s more like an interactive video generated by programming. There are many constraints, and Google itself has spoken out. So I think it’s impossible to compare the two technologies, because they are far apart. And game development involves much more than world production.”
